I just finished this flyer (PDF) for the CUUPS/SCP picnic coming up at the end of the month.
Designing it was a lot of fun. The style allowed me to break most of the modern rules of design. The spacing is bad, the font sizes vary from line to line and whitespace is almost nonexistent.
Like I said… fun.

There’s a few of these downtown, they seem to be sign cozies of some sort. They’ve been there for a surprisingly long time. From what I’ve been told there’s a lady who made them and put them up. She was asked why she made them and her only answer was that she liked to knit. Can’t argue with that.

I found this stencil on a drain in the drainage ditch next to the Henegar Center downtown. Does the artist know something we don’t? Is this a warning or just a suggestion? Was his concern a full drainage pond or something more? Global warming?

This is effex.org. I purchased this URL years ago. I wanted effex.com but it wasn’t available so I settled for .org. when I decided to start doing design work more seriously, I rebuilt the my site on a new host with a new URL, effextech.com. Now I kept the effex.org domain with plans of using it for something else. At the time, I wasn’t sure what.
Well here it is. So, obviously I’ve decided to do something with it. That something is a showcase for the art and work of myself and others I know in the Melbourne (Florida) area. The charities I do, the things I see, the people I know, the things I create, they will all be here for you to see.
> Yeah Ray, you created a blog.
Yeah, your right, but I’m hoping, with a little luck, to make it a little more than that. Something someone might be interested in reading.
